Open and save files to a USB

If you have a USB drive with files you want to open on the display, you can attach the drive to one of the display's USB ports and open it from the Files library. Although you can view USB files on the display, they are not saved on the display. To save a file to or from the USB, you must move it from the USB into a folder or vice versa.

To open files on a connected USB drive

  1. Connect a USB drive to the display.

  2. From the Home screen, tap Files.

  3. TapExpand beside My Files and select USB Files.

The files on the USB drive appear.

  4. Tap the file you want to display.

You might need to install an app before you can open the file on the display. You can add an app from SMART’s app store. To open Microsoft Office files, you can install the WPS Office app. See Installing and managing apps.
