SMART Meeting Pro software integrates with the Microsoft Exchange Calendar feature. Enable Microsoft Exchange integration to use the meeting integration features and to email your meeting notes.
To enable Microsoft Exchange integration
Select Enable integration with Microsoft Exchange.
Type the room resource email address in the appropriate text box.
Notes
A room resource email address is a mailbox assigned to a specific meeting room. This account is disabled in Active Directory.
Any email address is accepted in this field, but the installation administrator must validate it as a Microsoft Exchange room resource address.
Ensure you’re connected to your network, and then click Next.
The installation wizard detects the Microsoft Exchange server and Active Directory server settings, enabling the use of SMART Meeting Pro software’s meeting notification and email features.
Notes
If your organization is using an Office 365-hosted Microsoft Exchange server, complete the procedure in Office 365 Exchange integration with SMART Meeting Pro Room Edition software after installing the software.
To use the meeting integration features of SMART Meeting Pro software, you must enable Microsoft Exchange integration. However, basic email integration (to send meeting notes from SMART Meeting Pro software) is still available without Microsoft Exchange integration.
If you don’t enable Microsoft Exchange integration, you can provide a sender email address and SMTP server instead. This enables you to email your meeting notes from SMART Meeting Pro software. However, meeting integration features are available only when Microsoft Exchange integration is enabled.
To enable basic email integration
Select Enable SMTP e-mail configuration.
Type the sender email address in the appropriate text box.
Note
The email address you type appears in the Sender field for any outgoing emails. If the computer doesn’t have an email client installed, don’t change the do_not_reply default value. This indicates to mail recipients that replies to these messages will not be received.
Type your SMTP server location in the appropriate text box.
Click Next.
The installation wizard detects the SMTP email settings, enabling you to use SMART Meeting Pro software’s email feature.
