Description

Home configuration

SMART board mode

Configure how the display will be used. Select one of the following modes:

Mode

Description

Classic Mode

Ideal for use by individuals or private environments. Requires a factory reset for forgotten PINs.
Shared ModeIdeal for public or shared environments. Easy to regain access for public users if unintentionally locked.

You also have an option to recreate the Default user for the display.

Tip 

During the initial setup of a new display, you’re given the option to select a board mode.

Home screen

Select the default iQ home screen:

Navigation bar

Choose whether or not to have the Lock button appear in the navigation bar.

Annotation & touch
Annotation

Enable the ability to use the ink overlay with supported apps. Once enabled, you can further customize which app you can use this feature on.

Tip 

Enable the layer for the Freeze frame tool so that the ink overlay is available for any app, including other inputs such as a computer.

Touch Settings

Enable or perform diagnostics on touch tools, including pens and blocks.

Input

Manage the input behavior for connected devices.

Description

Default input

The display will return to this input when it starts up or wakes from standby.
Switching behavior

Select an option for how the display switches between inputs.

  • Ask before switching inputs - When you connect a device, a message in the bottom-left of your display asks if you want to switch to this input. Select Switch to confirm.

  • Switch to the new input automatically - When you connect a device, a message in the bottom-left of your display notifies you that you’re switching to this input.

  • Switch to the new input manually - When you connect a device, you must manually set it as the input by going to the Navigation bar on the Home screen and selecting Inputs.

Custom tiles

Rename external inputs, such as HDMI, to give them an easily recognized name.

Set home button brightness, and disable some types of display interactions.

Home button brightness

Customize the brightness of the light on the Home button at the bottom of the display.

Disable convenience panel buttonsThe convenience panel buttons will be disabled.

Disable IR remote control buttons

The IR remote control buttons will be disabled.

Disable USB keyboard and mouse

The USB keyboard and mouse will be disabled.

Disable touchscreen

Touchscreen functionality will be disabled.

Device security
Settings LockdownPrevent other users from changing the display’s settings.

Require SMART Account sign in

Available in iQ 4.7 only.

Removes access to the public profile and requires all users to sign into a SMART Account.

Automatic sign out

Have the display automatically sign out of the SMART Account after a defined period of inactivity or amount of time.

Clean-up

Clear the browser tabs, history, and cookies, clean up app data and preferences, and set clean up frequency.

Remote management

Enable and configure remote management of display.

Diagnostics

Share anonymous usage data with SMART.

Enable crash reporting to SMART.
