Inviting others to a shared library and managing its members

A Shared Library can have up to 20 members while a Team Library and Organization Library can have unlimited members from within the same organization. If you are the admin or editor for any shared library, you can invite new members and choose what type of access you want them to have (either an editor or a viewer).

Note 

Members of organization libraries are managed in the SMART Admin Portal.

  1. Select the library’s thumbnail to open it.

    Tip 

    You can also select MoreMoreMembersInvite new member.

  2. Click .

  3. Choose the type of user you want to invite, then click Create link.

  4. Copy the invitation link and send it to the person you’re inviting to join.

Open a list of members to see who’s been invited to the shared library and their permission levels. If you’re the admin for the library, you can manage each member’s role.

To view members

  1. Open the shared library.

  2. Click Library SettingsMembers.

    The Members page opens, showing the current members, their names, email addresses, and the role they’ve been assigned.

To change a member’s role within a shared library

  1. Find the member whose role you want to change in the library’s list of members (see previous procedure).

  2. Under the Role column, select the drop-down arrow next to the member’s current role and select the one you want to assign them.

To remove members from a shared library

  1. Find the member you want to remove.

  2. Under the Role column, select the drop-down arrow next to the member’s current role and select Remove member.

Disable a library’s share link to prevent new people using it to join the library. Disabling the share link does not remove existing members from the library.

To disable a library’s share link

  1. Select the library’s thumbnail to open it.

  2. Click .

  3. Find the share link you want to disable.

  4. Click Disable invitation link.
