Send files to iQ 4 devices

You can upload files from your computer or a URL and use SMART Remote Management to send those files to devices in your organization. This is useful when you want all devices to have the same wallpaper or otherwise share common files.

You can send files to a single device, all devices that match a saved filter’s criteria, or a group. Alternatively, you can:

• Use a trigger to initiate the sending of files at a scheduled time or when a specific event takes place.

To upload and send files

1. Click DeploymentFiles.

   The Files window appears.

2. Click Add New.

   The New file window appears.

3. Choose one of the following upload methods in the Select upload method drop-down list:

   Option	Steps
   Upload File	Type a name for the files in the Name box. Type the path where you want to send the files in the Destination box. Tip  For SMART Board interactive displays with iQ: Place files in /sdcard/download to have them appear in the Downloads folder. Place files in /sdcard/Android/obb/SMART/shared/files to have them appear in the Board Files folder. SeeUsing the Files Library Click Add Files. The Open dialog box appears. Browse to and select the first file you want to upload, and click Open. Repeat steps c and d for all other files you want to upload. Click Upload all. Click Confirm.
   File from Url	Type the URL you are uploading the files from in the File url box. Type a name for the files in the Name box. Type the path where you want to send the files in the Destination box. Tip  For SMART Board interactive displays with iQ: Place files in /sdcard/download to have them appear in the Downloads folder. Place files in /sdcard/Android/obb/SMART/shared/files to have them appear in the Board Files folder. SeeUsing the Files Library Click Confirm.

To send files to a single device

1. Click Devices to open the Devices view.

2. Choose one of the following options:

   Option	Steps
   Send to a single device	Click the device’s row. The device’s dashboard window appears. Click Repositories actions, and then click Files. The Files window appears. Select the files from the list and click Apply.
   Send to devices that match a saved filter	Click Filters to open the filters panel and then click Browse saved. Click Actions in the saved filter’s row and select DeployFiles. The Files window appears. Select the files from the list and click Apply.
   Send to devices in a group	If the groups panel isn’t visible, click Groups. Click Actions in the group’s row and select DeployFiles. The Files window appears. Select the files from the list and click Apply.
