Using the workspace tools to collaborate

When you are connected to a workspace in a meeting room with read/write access or when you use the app to host your own workspace, you can:

  • Write or draw

  • Select, move, resize, and rotate objects

  • Zoom in and out

  • Add images, files, text, or sticky notes to the page

  • Change the workspace page’s background

Changes made in the workspace are visible to everyone who's connected to that workspace. Live attributions identify the user who's making a change.

  1. Tap DrawDraw or SelectSelect.

    The tools menu opens, allowing you to switch between pen, highlighter, eraser, or selection mode.

  2. Use your finger to write, draw, erase, or select an object on the workspace page.

  1. With two fingers on the page, pinch in to zoom in or pinch out to zoom out.

  1. TapAdd.

  2. Select one of the following:

    Add a file from a shared location.

    When you add files to Shared Files, meeting participants can access the file you uploaded in the Session folder from a TeamWorks Room meeting or in the Shared Files folder on devices.

    Use your device’s camera to take a photo or video and insert it in to the workspace.

    Add a photo from your device’s camera roll.

    Add a PDF or image file from your device’s saved files.

    Add a photo of a document to the workspace. When you select this option, your device automatically tries to take a photo of a document. The image is adjusted to be deskewed, but you can adjust the final image before it’s added to the workspace.

    Add text to the workspace. When you select this option, your device’s on-screen keyboard appears. Type the text and tap Saveafter you’ve finished typing.

    Add a note to the workspace. After you’ve added the note, you can select it and and tap to write on it.

    Add a shape to the workspace. After you’ve added the shape, select it and tap to write on it.

    Start the augmented reality (AR) camera, which automatically recognizes and crops backgrounds from objects in your photos for inserting into the workspace.

Note 

Before you can select or move objects, you must be in Selection mode.

To select or move objects

  1. Tap an object to select it. After it’s selected, use one of the following gestures:

    With one finger, press and drag the object.

    Resize

    With two fingers, pinch in or out to make the object smaller or bigger.

    Rotate

    With two fingers, turn the object to the left or right.

To use the object toolbars

  1. This table describes the tools available when you select an object in the workspace.

    Button

    Description

    		Enter Ink mode. Select a pen style, color, and thickness, then draw over the object.
    		Clone the selected object.
    		Send the selected object to the back layer in the workspace.
    		Delete the selected object.

  1. Tap Moreor Mored.

  2. Select one of the following:

    Icon

    Description

    		Exit the workspace and return to the home screen.
    		Change the workspace page’s background.
    		Take a screen capture of the entire workspace page.
    		Take a screen capture of the area you select.
    		Print the workspace, create a PDF of it, or save a recap.

Add pages to your workspace if you need more space. You can also clone existing pages, delete pages you no longer need, or change the background color of the workspace pages. When your workspace contains more than one page, you can use the arrows to navigate through them.

To add, clone, and delete pages

  1. (Android) tapPage manager.

    OR

    (iOS) tapPage manager.

    The page manager opens.

  2. From the page manager, use one of the following tools:

    		Add a new page.
    		Clone the selected page.
    		Delete the selected page.
