Preparing to deliver lessons on a desktop computer connected to a SMART Board interactive display
Prepare for delivering your lesson by doing the following:
Set the page display
Learn how to navigate pages and zoom in and out
Display links in the file
Move windows to the appropriate screens (if you have multiple interactive products in your classroom)
Tip
If you’re using a SMART Board interactive display, there are other options for opening SMART Notebook files on the display that don’t require a connected computer. See Opening lesson files on an interactive display.

Click View Screens on the toolbar or click View in the SMART Notebook menu to see options for setting the page display.
SMART Notebook includes these options for displaying the page:
View | Description |

| Use this option if you have a 4K display. This opens SMART Notebook 4K Presenter, which provides a better experience while presenting lessons on a 4K display. Learn more about the 4K Presenter. |
| Full Screen view expands the page area to fill the interactive screen by hiding the title bar, toolbar, taskbar and sidebar. |
SMART Notebook includes this option for displaying the page:

If you have SMART Notebook Plus, you can also use the following options for displaying the page:

To display the next page in a file
Swipe your finger across the page from right to left.
A message appears, displaying the current page’s number.
To display the previous page in a file
Swipe your finger across the page from left to right.
A message appears, displaying the current page’s number.

You can zoom in and out using the View Screens button or multitouch gestures (if your interactive product supports multitouch gestures).
To zoom in and out using the view menu
Tap View Screens
.
Select a magnification level between 50% and 300%.
OR
Select Entire Page to make the entire page fit your display.
OR
Select Page Width to set the page’s width to the same width as your display.
To zoom in and out using the view menu
Drag your fingers in opposite directions to zoom in.
OR
Drag your fingers toward each other to zoom out.
A message appears, displaying the current zoom level.

If your interactive product supports the pan gesture, you can pan a page when zoomed in.
To pan a page
Using two fingers on the same hand, press and hold the screen.
Keeping your fingers on the screen, move up, down, left or right.
When you reach the area you want to view, release your fingers.

You can attach a copy of a file, a shortcut to a file, a web link, or a sound file to any object on a page (see Using advanced object features). Before you deliver the lesson, you can choose to display an animated indicator around each linked object when you first go to that page. You can also use the View menu to quickly show any links on the current page .
To display links when a page opens
Select View
Show All Links When Page Opens.
Each time you go to a page, an animated indicator appears around each object that has a link. Depending on the type of link, the indicator surrounds either the entire object or an icon in the object’s lower-left corner. The indicators disappear automatically after a few seconds.

Clear the selection of View
Show All Links When Page Opens to stop displaying links when you open a page.
To display links on the current page
Select View
Show All Links.
An animated indicator appears around each object that has a link. Depending on the type of link, the indicator surrounds either the entire object or an icon in the object’s lower-left corner. The indicators disappear automatically after a few seconds.

You can use multiple interactive products from the same computer. You can split the computer display over two or more screens, or you can display some programs on one screen and other programs on another. For more information, see Connecting multiple interactive whiteboards to one computer (docs.smarttech.com/kb/000315).
If you connect multiple interactive products to one computer, you can move windows from one screen to another.
To move a window from one screen to another
If you haven’t done so already, display the window.
Note
You can move a window only if it isn’t maximized or minimized.
Press and hold the window on the first screen with your finger.
Tap the second screen with a finger on your other hand.
Lift your finger from the first screen.
The window disappears from the first screen and appears on the second screen.
