Opening lesson files on an interactive display

You have a few options for opening Notebook files on a SMART Board interactive display:

Connect a computer

Connect your Windows or Mac computer with SMART Notebook software installed on it to the display. Then select the computer’s input on your display to view the computer’s desktop. From there you can start SMART Notebook.

Instructions for connecting the computer to your interactive display are available on the support page for your model.

Use a USB drive

Save the Notebook file to a USB drive. Then connect the USB drive to the display and open the file.

If you are using a SMART Board interactive display with iQ, you also have these options for opening Notebook lesson files on the display:

Google Drive or OneDrive

Upload your Notebook lessons to your Google Drive or OneDrive cloud storage. On the display, connect to your cloud storage to access your uploaded lessons from the display. Learn more about connecting to online drives from a SMART Board display with iQ.

File Sync

SMART Notebook Plus feature. Subscription required.

If you haven’t already, sign in to your SMART Account in SMART Notebook. Then share your file to your SMART Account.

Sign in to your SMART Account on the display to start the file synchronization between the display and your SMART Account. Open the display’s Files Library and select My FilesLumio. Select the lesson file to open it.

Note

When you open Notebook files on a display with iQ, the file opens in the SMART Whiteboard app. Although most features in SMART Notebook are compatible, the app doesn’t support some features. Learn more about using the SMART Whiteboard app for iQ.
