Troubleshooting screen share connectivity for AirPlay
Use this troubleshooting wizard to resolve connectivity issues with screen sharing.
When trying to connect devices using AirPlay, the following issues occur:
The display’s name does not appear in the list of available displays.
The display’s name appears, but you can’t connect to the display.
Display refers to the SMART Board interactive display or SMART Board display.
Device refers to the iOS or macOS device that is sharing its screen.
Are there more than one displays with the same name appearing in the list of devices?
If so, rename the display to give it a unique name that’s easy to identify.
Try sharing your screen again. If the issue persists, click Continue.
For displays with SMART Mirror
On the display, tap Screen Share to open SMART Mirror’s home screen.
Tap Settings.
Tap Network & Connections and turn on the AirPlay receiver.

Try these additional troubleshooting steps:
Check that the device and display on the same network (and subnet if applicable). The device should be on the same subnet or VLAN as your display. For example, if the display is connected to the XYZ network, the device should also be connected to the XYZ network. Network administrators should refer to Bridging mDNS Connections in Resolving screen share issues for SMART Board interactive displays with iQ for advanced setup information.
Confirm that the screen sharing app is open on the display.
On the display, turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
Confirm that the network’s firewall and proxy settings are configured for screen sharing.
Try sharing your screen again. If the issue persists, click Continue.
If the issue still persists, there may be an issue with how the network was set up. Contact a network engineer for further assistance.

For displays with SMART Mirror, if the device is on a different network than the display, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and in the display’s iQ settings.
