Important 

Only install this firmware on the following models of SMART Board GX (V4) Plus display: SBID-GX065N-V4, SBID-GX075N-V4, and SBID-GX086N-V4. To confirm the display’s model number, see the product support label located on the display (see Getting support and finding serial numbers).

  1. Download the update.zip file from this page and save it to your computer’s desktop.

  2. Copy the downloaded ZIP file to the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive.

    Important 

    Do not rename or unzip the update file.

    Note 

    The USB drive must have at least 3.5 GB of free space.

  3. Turn on the display and wait for the Home screen to appear.

  4. Connect the USB drive to one of the USB Type-A connectors on the display’s front connector panel.

    When a dialog appears, tap Cancel.

  5. On the Home screen, tap the Settings iconNetwork & internet.

    Tip 

    If the Settings icon doesn’t appear on the Home screen, tap the All Apps icon in the Launcher menu at the bottom of the screen and look for the Setting app.

  6. Disable the Wi-Fi and Ethernet settings.

  7. Go to SystemSystem update.

  8. When a dialog appears, tap Confirm.

    The display installs the firmware and restarts the display.

    Important 

    Do not turn off the display or unplug the USB drive while the firmware is being updated. A confirmation message will appear when the firmware update process is complete.

    Note 

    The display may restart a number of times as the firmware update is applied. The Home screen may also appear before the firmware update process is complete.

    A message appears confirming the firmware update process is complete.

  9. On the Home screen, tap the Settings iconNetwork & internet.

  10. Re-enable the Wi-Fi or Ethernet settings.

  1. Turn on the display.

  2. Access the display’s settings from the Home screen by tapping Settings. You can also press the Settings button on the remote control.

  3. Browse to AboutModelFirmware Version.

    In the field, you’ll see #.#.######## representing the firmware’s version number.
