About SMART Notebook basic version and what additional features come with a SMART Learning Suite subscription
SMART Notebook basic version is free software designed for use with a SMART Board interactive display. It comes with many features that you can use to create, edit, and deliver engaging lessons to your students such as:
Creative pen tools
SMART Ink for writing and drawing in digital ink
SMART Ink presentation tools such as screen shade, spotlight, and more
Infinite cloner
Add shapes, text, and images
Interact with page objects
Add text, tables, lines, and shapes
Insert images and widgets (such as interactive dice, timers, and spinners)
Import PowerPoint (Windows only) and PDF files and convert them to SMART Notebook files
About the additional SMART Notebook features that come with a subscription to SMART Learning SuiteWhen you install SMART Notebook for the first time, you have a 45-day period to try the additional SMART Notebook features that come with a subscription to SMART Learning Suite. After this period ends, or your subscription expires, these additional SMART Notebook features are no longer available but you can still use the free basic version of SMART Notebook software. Also, lessons containing subscription-based features can still be delivered as designed, but you won’t be able to edit the content or create new content using the features that require a subscription.
The following table lists the additional SMART Notebook features that come with a subscription and compares them to how they behave in the basic version of SMART Notebook once the 45-day period ends.
