Converting and importing other file types

Windows operating systems only

If you have content for your lesson that isn’t supported by SMART Notebook’s importer, you can use the print drivers to convert the file to a .notebook file, then open it in SMART Notebook to use it in your lesson.

To convert a document to a SMART Notebook file

  1. Open the document you want to convert in its application. For example, if you want to convert an Adobe PDF file to a Notebook file, open the file in the Adobe PDF application.

  2. From the application’s main menu, select File > Print.

The application’s Print dialog box opens.

  3. From the Printer: drop down menu, select Send to SMART Notebook.

  4. Select Print.

The document opens in SMART Notebook.

  5. View, print, or annotate in the SMART Notebook file.

  6. From SMART Notebook’s main menu, select File > Save to save the Notebook file.
