Using the Screen Capture toolbar

The Screen Capture toolbar enables you to take a screen capture of a rectangular area, a freehand area, a window or the entire screen.

To take a screen capture

1. Press the SMART Board icon in the notification area (Windows operating systems) or Mac menu bar (macOS operating system software), and then select Screen Capture Toolbar.

   Note 

   If your computer isn’t currently connected to a SMART interactive product, the SMART Board icon includes an X in its lower-right corner.

2. Press one of the following buttons:

   	Capture a rectangular area.
   	Capture a window.
   	Capture an entire screen.
   	Capture a freehand area.

3. Select the area, window or screen you want to capture.

   The Capture window opens. This window displays a thumbnail of the screen capture and a button for the last action you selected.

4. Press the last action’s button.

   OR

   Press Do something else and select a different action.

To close the Screen Capture toolbar

1. Press Close (Windows operating systems) or Close (macOS operating system software) in the Screen Capture toolbar.
