Inserting content from other sources
If you or other teachers in your school have created content outside of SMART Notebook software, you can include this content in your .notebook files.
Specifically, you can do the following:
Cut or copy, and then paste content from other programs
Import content from other programs like YouTube using the SMART Notebook YouTube add-on.
Import content into a .notebook file from a variety of sources, including PowerPoint files.
You can insert pictures into pages from files, a scanner or a SMART Document Camera.
Note
You can also insert pictures from the Gallery tab. For more information, see Inserting content from the Gallery.
After inserting a picture, you can define a transparent area in it.
You can insert multimedia files, including video files and sound files, into pages.
Select File > Import.
The Open dialog box appears.
Select All PowerPoint Files (*.ppt;*.pptx) in the Files of type drop-down list.
Browse to and select the PowerPoint file you want to import.
Press Open.
SMART Notebook software adds the contents of the PowerPoint file to a .notebook file.
