Using Game Show
With Game Show, students take turns spinning a game show wheel and answer multiple choice or true and false questions to gain points and bonuses for their teams. The team with the most points earned after all questions have been answered wins the game show!
To use Game Show
Open SMART lab by pressing the SMART lab toolbar icon in the Notebook toolbar.
The Add an Activity window opens.
Scroll to Game Show and press Add this activity. In the Choose Design Template and Theme window, select the Game Show theme by pressing its thumbnail image. The thumbnail is highlighted with a blue box.
Press Next.
The Add an Activity | Manage Lists dialog opens.
Press + Add Question to begin adding questions and answers to the activity. You can also add questions from a previously saved list or save new questions to a list. For more information about adding content, see Using Game Show.
Only the first ten questions are added to the activity.
Press Next.
Game show components are not available for this activity.
Press Finish. After a few moments the question set will be built and Game Show will be ready to use. Students will see the activity on the SMART Board.
Press Start.
The Game Show activity opens.
Press the spinning wheel to begin the game.
The wheel spins and the pointer will land on
a Power Up star that lets a player remove an incorrect choice,
x2 (times 2) which allows a player to spin again for more points, or
a question mark which opens a question window.
The users then answer the questions.
