Using SMART Notebook lessons with Lumio

Lumio provides new ways for you to enhance and use your SMART Notebook lessons. All you have to do is to import your SMART Notebook lessons into Lumio.

Importing into Lumio provides a number of enhancements and benefits for your lesson:

  • Import and combine multiple files: Do you have resources from multiple file types that you want to combine with your SMART Notebook lesson? No problem. With Lumio, you can import Notebook, PDF, PowerPoint, and Google Slides or Docs and combine resources. Select an entire file or only specific pages to import and combine.

  • Add ready-made resources: Lumio gives you access to existing lesson materials (such as minute papers, exit tickets, and KWL tables) and resources from partners like PhET and Desmos, which you can add to any Notebook lesson you’ve imported. You can also add ready-made resources, such as graphic organizers and manipulatives.

  • Enable student access at home: You can easily share imported Notebook lessons with students using Lumio’s share links, which enable your students to access the entire lesson at home and complete activities as assignments.

  • Enable student participation in the entire lesson: Deliver your Notebook lesson to student devices. After you’ve imported lessons into Lumio, connected students can see and follow the whole lesson on their devices and complete the activities it contains.

  • Get insights into students’ performance: Delivering a Notebook lesson in Lumio gives you access to the activity dashboard. Use the dashboard to see data about how well the whole class or individual students are progressing through an activity.

These are just some of the highlights. Once you start working with Lumio, you can use many of its features to enhance your lesson. Learn more about Lumio.
