Using the Player app to deliver lessons
Open an existing lesson file from the Files Library or start a new lesson file in the Player app.
Use the Player app in the iQ experience to create whiteboards and open, view, and interact with SMART Notebook lesson files. Player makes it easy to deliver SMART Notebook lessons at the display and play interactive activities on the display.
SMART Notebook Player is also the default whiteboard app on education models of SMART Board displays. To use the kapp Whiteboard, see Using the kapp Whiteboard.
Displays with the AM30 iQ appliance don’t include Player.
Player provides several tools for interacting with and managing lesson files.
Tap the button to return to the previous screen.
Tap the icon to sort and move pages as required. In the Page Sorter view, and drag a file or page to the location you want.
Tap the icon to view all the pages in a file.
Pick up a pen and tap to select pen type, color, line thickness, and to create custom pens.
Use the pens to annotate files or to write in digital ink on your documents and activities.

Tap the icon to select ink and objects and manipulate them by rotating, stretching and moving them around the page.

Insert video or image
Tap the icon to add an image from Bing or video from YouTube into a lesson file or whiteboard in Player. See Inserting images or videos in a Player whiteboard or lesson file.
When you deliver a lesson, use the Manage Class button to see which students have connected to your class using their devices.
The activity controls are available when a page features an embedded interactive activity. Use these controls to select a game element or reset a game.
The response 2 controls are available while you deliver response 2 assessments. Use these controls to manage and reset the activity.
Use the Blank Page button to add an instant Shout it Out! activity or a blank page to quickly illustrate an idea or concept on a new page.
You can convert a blank page to deliver an Workspace activity on the fly while you’re delivering a lesson.
Page display controls
Use page display controls to display the next or previous page in a lesson.
Tap the page sorter to see all the pages in the file or whiteboard.
Some toolbar controls are only displayed when you start a relevant lesson activity.
