Add and manipulate images, videos, and other objects

There are a few methods to add an image or video to the whiteboard page:

• Use the Browser to download an image, then add it from the image gallery.

• Add an image that’s already on your device.

To insert an image or video from the web

1. Tap InsertWeb.

2. Choose either Images or Videos.

3. Enter in a search term and tap the search icon on the keyboard.

4. In the search results, tap the image or video you want to insert on the page.

To insert an image or video that's saved to the display

1. Tap InsertBoard.

2. Navigate the file manager to locate and select the media file you want to add.

3. Tap Gallery.

To insert a video from YouTube

1. Open YouTube on the display and locate the video you want to insert.

2. Tap ShareMoreWhiteboard.

   The video is added to the current page of your open whiteboard file, or to a new file if none is open.

You can copy and paste images and other objects from web browsers like Chrome, or from other whiteboards.

To copy an object from the web

1. Open a browser and browse to the content.

2. Press and hold the content until the browser’s object menu opens.

   Tip 

   You may have to open the image in its own browser page before you can copy it.

3. Select Copy image.

4. Tap to open a SMART whiteboard.

5. Press and hold anywhere on the whiteboard canvas until the word Paste appears.

6. Tap Paste. The image is pasted onto the whiteboard. You can resize, rotate, or duplicate it like any other whiteboard object.

To copy an object from another whiteboard

1. Open the whiteboard that has the content.

2. Tap an object to select it.

   OR

   Tap Marquee to draw a box and select multiple objects.

3. Tap MenuCopy.

4. Open the whiteboard you want to copy the content into.

5. Press and hold anywhere on the whiteboard canvas until the word Paste appears.

6. Tap Paste. The object is pasted onto the whiteboard. You can move, resize, rotate, or duplicate it like any other whiteboard object.

To drag and drop an object from the web

1. Open a browser and browse to the content.

2. On the navigation bar, tap to open the Split Screen tool.

3. Select Split.

4. Select the whiteboard as the other window to view.

5. Select and drag the object from the browser to the whiteboard.

The measurement tools available include protractor, ruler, compass, and Geodreieck.

To insert a measurement tool

1. Tap MoreMeasurement tools.

2. Select which tool you want to insert.

To rotate or change the tool’s size

1. Press and drag one of the corner handles to resize the tool.

   

   Press the rotation handle to rotate the tool.

   

To add an angle when using the protractor

1. Tap to open the protractor.

2. Press and hold the angle handle and then drag the handle to create an angle.

3. Tap to insert an angle.

To remove a measurement tool

1. Tap MenuDelete.
