System software updates

You can control how the iQ system software on a display or supported SMART appliance is downloaded and applied.

Schedule automatic updates

Although there is a default schedule for updates, you can customize the schedule as you like. When a system software update is available, the display or appliance downloads the update in the background based on the schedule. If necessary, the system will restart.

Note 

The display or appliance must be connected to the internet to run automatic updates.

To schedule automatic updates

  1. Tap Settings SystemUpdate.

  2. Tap the scheduling options (Start time, End time, and Run on) you’d like to set.

Important 

The interval between Start time and End time must be at least three hours.

Apply an automatic system software update manually

  1. Tap Settings SystemUpdate.

  2. Tap Update now.

You can download system software updates at smarttech.com/downloads and update your display using a USB drive.
