Delivering a Group Workspace or Handout activity
If you open a lesson file created in Lumio by SMART (Lumio) that includes a Group Workspace or Handout activity, you can deliver the lesson at the display.
Workspace activities | In Group Workspace activities, you can divide students into teams or put everyone on one team so students can collaborate on a group project. Within their teams, students work together on a page by contributing, adding and editing images, digital ink, and more. Other users can see who added or changed content. Running a Group Workspace activity involves dividing students into teams, beginning the activity, and then using your Workspace dashboard to monitor each team’s progress and provide feedback. |

Handout activities | In a Handout activity, students work on a page independently to complete an activity you’ve designed in Lumio. Students can add images, text, digital ink, and links to the page. After you’ve created a Handout activity, you can use the activity dashboard to monitor each student’s progress, opening individual handout pages to mark student work or provide guidance. |
Note
You can only deliver a Group Workspace or Handout activity in the Whiteboard app. You can’t insert videos or images. To edit the activity, open the lesson in Lumio and make changes. If you have signed in to the display, your lesson files are automatically synchronized between the Files Library and your Lumio lesson library—changes you make to the file in Lumio are automatically synchronized to the copy available in the display’s Files Library.
