Sharing from a Chromebook
For Chromebooks, you can use the following methods to share the computer's screen:
Important
To avoid experiencing issues while using screen sharing, make sure the network is properly configured.
Open SMART Mirror
on the display.The home screen for sharing opens, showing you the information you’ll need to connect.
Note
If using an iQ 3 display, the button will appear as Screen Share
.On the Chromebook confirm the following:
Wi-Fi is on and you are connected to the same network that the display is on.
Bluetooth is on.
From the desktop, select the time.
Select Cast devices available.
Select the display’s name. The name of the display is shown either in the screen's upper right corner or on the left side.
If prompted on the display, allow the device to share.
On the Chromebook, choose what you’d like to share and click Share.
You can use the Chrome browser to share the desktop or a specific browser tab from your Chromebook. For more information, see Cast a Chrome tab on your TV.
Important
Make sure the device is connected to the same network as the display.
Make sure your Chromebook has Chrome version 72 or later.

To share a Chrome browser tab to the display
Open SMART Mirror

.On your computer, open the Chrome browser.
Open the tab you want to share to the display.
In the top right corner of your browser, click the menu button.
Click Cast.
Select the display’s name. When you’re sharing, the Cast icon
turns blue.

.On your computer, open the Chrome browser.
In the top right corner of your browser, click the menu button.
Click Cast.
Click Sources.
Click Cast desktop.
Select the display’s name. When you’re sharing, the Cast icon
turns blue.
