    • Resolved issues

      • Resolved an issue where the SMART Ink icon did not scale correctly to match the display's resolution.

      • Resolved an issue where SMART Ink failed to load in Excel when an application launched quickly after connecting a SMART Board.

      • Resolved an issue where SMART Ink sometimes switched back to PowerPoint when writing in a separate application.

      • Resolved an issue where SMART Ink took a long time to load after the display returned from Ready to On power state, or when the USB data connection was interrupted.

      • Resolved an issue where ink and the SMART Ink toolbar appeared offset in PowerPoint Presentation mode.

    • Known issues

      • SMART Ink may prevent Microsoft Ink from working in PowerPoint Edit mode. Inking will generally work better if PowerPoint's Draw menu is customized so that the black pen tool appears before the text pen tool (drag and drop the tool buttons to rearrange). In some cases, it may also be necessary to turn on the Draw with Touch button in the Draw menu.

      • SMART Ink no longer includes standard support for SMART Board 4000 and E70 series interactive displays. Users can re-enable support for these displays in SMART Ink Settings. However, enabling this option may cause SMART Ink to perform poorly whenever monitors or SMART Boards are connected or disconnected (for example, when Windows display configuration changes).

  • macOS

    • Known issues

      • Pens may stop writing digital ink if a different-colored pen is used after using the ink-to-text feature. To resume writing, select a color from SMART Ink floating tools or disconnect and reconnect the computer's USB connection.
