Important 

Do not turn off your computer while you’re installing the firmware.

To install the firmware

  1. Connect your computer to your interactive flat panel with a USB cable and an HDMI cable or Display Port cable.

  2. Download the ZIP file on this page and save it to your computer.

  3. Extract the files to a new folder on your computer.

  4. Open the folder, and then move the BIN file to the following location on your computer:

    Copy
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SMART Technologies\SMART Product Drivers\Firmware\SP2

    Note 

    The folder paths in this procedure might be different on your computer if you installed SMART software to a different location.

  5. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\SMART Technologies\SMART Product Drivers, and then double-click SMARTFirmwareUpdater.exe.

    The SMART Firmware Upgrade Wizard appears.

  6. Click Next.

  7. In the list of firmware versions, select the update check box for version 2.3.0.4.

  8. Follow the on-screen instructions until the firmware installation is complete.

After you’ve installed the firmware, you must calibrate the interactive flat panel.

To calibrate the interactive flat panel

  1. Open SMART Settings by browsing to Start > SMART Technologies > SMART Tools > SMART Settings.

  2. Click SMART Hardware Settings, and then select Advanced settings from the drop-down list.

  3. Click Calibrate.

  4. Using your pen to touch the flat panel, follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. Double-click Firmware Updater.app.

    The SMART Firmware Upgrade Wizard appears.

  6. Click Next.

  7. In the list of firmware versions, select the update check box for version 2.3.0.4.

  8. Follow the on-screen instructions until the firmware installation is complete.

After you’ve installed the firmware, you must calibrate the interactive flat panel.
