Discontinued products and customer support program for software
Customer support for SMART software is available for the current version and the two previous point versions for as long as you have a valid subscription.
The products listed in the table below are discontinued and are not directly supported by SMART. If you need information about a discontinued software product, links to the product’s online support site are provided in the table below. These links offer information about using, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting.

Terms and definitionsFor the purposes of this page, the following terms are defined as:
Term | Definition |

Discontinued | The software is no longer available to download and has reached end-of-life. The software will receive no further development. From this date, there will be no software updates or bug fixes however, assistance may still be available if you have an active subscription or software maintenance program. |
End-of-support | The product is discontinued. SMART will no longer provide assisted support for the product. Self-serve resources remain available. |

You can upgrade to the latest version of the software if available. Some software requires an active subscription.

Important
Starting December 31, 2023, SMART Notebook software versions 21 and below will no longer be supported. To ensure a seamless experience with continuous support, we encourage updating to the latest available version.
Please update your SMART Notebook software by the end of 2023 to avoid any interruptions. Outdated software versions may result in an error message about an expired trial period, even for those with an active subscription.

Important
Customers with active SMART Meeting Pro licenses from October 2015 onwards are eligible to activate their SMART Meeting Pro software version at any time. This applies to SMART Meeting Pro software versions 4.3 SP2 and later.
Customers using legacy SMART Meeting Pro software versions earlier than 4.3 SP2 will not be able to activate new installations of these versions.
Customers with SMART Meeting Pro license keys from prior to October 2015 are encouraged to reach out to their SMART reseller for assistance in upgrading to the most recent available version.
