Finding the currently installed versionTurn on the SMART Board with iQ interactive display.
Tap Settings on the Home screen.
Under System Settings, tap About.
The current system software version appears under Build Number in the Board Details area.
Installing this version
On your computer, download the ZIP file and save it to your computer’s desktop.
Copy the ZIP file to the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive.
Note
The USB drive must accommodate at least 2 GB, and be no larger than 32 GB.
Connect the USB drive to the interactive display.
In the dialog box that appears, tap OK.
Note
If no dialog box appeared, the update file is not the most recent version, or the interactive display already has the latest system software.
Caution
Do not disconnect the USB drive or turn the display off until the installation is complete.
The installation will take several minutes. The screen will turn black, and the display will restart several times. When the installation is complete, the display restarts.
Notes
If the iQ system software doesn’t install, restart the display and try to install the system software again. If you still encounter issues while installing the software, visit this troubleshooting page for solutions.

System software | Buttons on the IR remote control and at the front of the display were disabled when the Lock screen was shown. Speakers muted when the Lock screen or Freeze was shown. Couldn’t view installed Root CA certificates within security settings. Couldn’t connect to the network using Ethernet, and the IP address was stuck at 0.0.0.0 after waking up from sleep. Couldn’t install the Lithuanian handwriting recognition language pack.

Embedded apps | SMART Whiteboard Couldn’t save the whiteboard or export it to PDF on a USB drive. Couldn’t export a whiteboard to PDF if it had the same name as an existing file. The ink appeared to jitter or spike when writing or drawing quickly.

Embedded apps | SMART Remote Management The RemoteExec command settings with the arguments put <options> do not work. As a workaround, use the command smartcli with the arguments settings put <options>. Apps deployed while a user is signed in won’t appear right away. The apps will appear the next time the user signs in. Settings selections made while a user is signed in are not applied. Trusted credential certificates cannot be deployed using SMART Remote Management and must be installed from the display.
Browser By default, the Browser presents mobile versions of websites for compatibility and usability with touch. If a site doesn’t appear correctly, switching to the Desktop site from within the Browser's menu will usually address any issues.
